Well, perhaps maybe that -is- the number one item to fail on Kioti's.

In your experience, what would you say is number one?

Honestly, its hard to find a whole lot of negative feedback from those who own Kioti's. It may be simply due to the relatively low numbers in use as compared to the "big 3".

I was so impressed with everything I read about them, I bought a CK20 sight unseen!

I specifically asked Kioti this question about a month ago.
This was their reply, and I quote:

"It is permissible to have your Kioti products repaired at a dealer different from the dealer you purchased it from. You will need to contact the new dealer and discuss your situation with them and keep in mind that only the dealer that sold the unit is required to repair the tractor under warranty. Most dealers will work with customers under many circumstances, but if they did not sell the unit they are not under obligation to repair it. I am sure that you will have no trouble in this matter but if you do we will try to
come to a suitable solution."

In my situation, the closer dealers are 30 mins away, the dealer i'm buying from is an hour away. So worst case is a bit more of my time to get the warranty work done. But I agree, that any dealer who refuses to do warranty work just because they did not sell the tractor to you originally, is a FOOL. In other words, you have to pay for their "good customer service" up front when you buy a tractor from them...in my case almost $2000.

I was at the York Farm show and saw the McConnell-Mark tractors as well. The smallest one looked downright scary! I believe you are correct that they are just rebranded Chinese tractors. The larger units are almost definitely Jinmas. As for the McCormick's, they are getting back into the tractor market, they currently only have larger models but plans are to have smaller units available in the near future.

FWIW, one just went on Ebay...96/97 Lb1914, 500 hours, KL102 loader, 3 pt carry-all, rear scraper blade, 5 ft rotary mower, single axle trailer with 2 winches. It sold for its "buy it now" price of $7300. Was located in Virginia.

Our trees are 72" trunk to trunk. My father-in-law uses a NH TC21 (41" width) with a 42" rotary mower. Wide is OK when they are small, but tears the bottom branches up when they reach the right size.

Did the older model LB1914 (1996-1997) have a Partial Synchromesh with Mechanical Shuttle transmission as opposed to the newer models which have a Full Synchromesh with Mechanical Shuttle transmission?

What exactly is the difference?

Well, the dealer I'm purchasing from is about 90 miles away. The 3 closest dealers (25, 25 and 75 miles) won't budge on price and aren't even close to this dealers pricing. Kioti's official statement on warranty repairs is that only the selling dealer is required to do warranty work, however, Kioti would assist in getting repairs with a more local dealer if necessary. Not sure, but i would imagine the local dealers would want some of my money, no matter how they get it (i.e. parts and repairs down the road). Worst case for me is trailering the dang thing back to the original dealer. Honestly, I think with the limited amount of use this thing will see in its first year, only a major factory flaw would cause something to break prematurely. I would imagine most repairs are required due to OE.

If you own a LK3054 with R-4 Ind tires, can you tell me the widest dimension (outside of tire to outside of tire?). I need to be able to mow Christmas tree fields. Kioti website says 51.7.
Is it possible to flip the front and rear wheels to dish in?

OK, i found a 1998 Cub Cadet 7300 w/loader, 600 hrs for $9950. Paint is fair (kept outside) and they tell me the clutch has to be let out alot before it goes. Do these have adjustable clutches or is it just gone? Mechanically otherwise in good shape.

Any thoughts on this whole deal?

Sounds to me like one would possibly consider buying a Kioti tractor and a different brand loader (such as Koyker). Considering the Kioti and Koyker loaders are close in price, why mess with it?

I'm about this close (holding thumb and finger reaalllyy close together) to buying a new 3054 next month.

Recommendations on what a reasonable cash price offer would be on this unit?

1979-80 John Deere 950, 2WD, turf tires, loader, rear blade, JD cultivator, 850 hours. original owner, Good condition mechanically, but kept outside (some rust, serious paint fade)...located in the Mid-Atlantic.
