If your glow plug light is not coming on, mostly likely you have a bad controller. I bought a used L3300 with the same problem. I replaced the controller and now it works as it should. You can probably get away without this as the tractor starts without the glow plugs, unless you live in a very cold climate.

The fill level can be seen on the rear of the tractor transmission. There is a clear plastic plug that lets you see the fill level for the tranny fluid.
