Nice to hear that you found a manual. Did you have to state that you woud not propagate it? Just wondering. I noticed that one of the links that are now dead last over a year.

I was also wondering if you could look and see under the right side of the engine under the flywheel is a seal on the crankshaft. Ours is currently leaking out of this seal. Do they say anything about needing any special tools to replece that seal? What hold it in? We have the seal on order, might be here now. But we will be working on fixing it next week. Just curious if they say anything about changing it out.

First place I'd go is the carb. It has a float in it that if stuck will allow it to flood. Try that for a start. Do you have spark? Try putting the 'dry' plug in the cap and with the threads grounded, turn it over and see if you get spark.

If not check the wires under the cover under the seats, this a perfect place for rats (or other things) to eat those wires. If they are disconnected, you won't get ignition. Every one that has been sitting and doesn't start has these wires eaten.

Frank & gatorboy, He must be hauling some load of rocks... We used them to haul Archery targets up the moutain, that weigh about 400+ lbs, so you guys really have a load of rocks to cause it to not steer with the differencial not locked. I know if we hit some ares that were steep and we had the load to the rear it would rear up.. But not really a problem. Gatorboy, I don't know what you fear about water cooled machines about all today are water cooled. The gator we have had an overheating problem, but it just had an air bubble in the line. Whoever worked on it didn't install the thermostat properly. It has a hole that needs to go up to let the air flow out, they did not, and they plugged the hole with sealant. After drilling a hole in the top and bleeding it, no problem.

IMHO I'd say if it's a low price, buy that puppy. If I had a change to, I would. The one I'm referencing, we have many, has over 3k hours on it. I'd buy one today if I could find one.

New is nice also..

Hello, we have had this problem and it was solved, so far. If you have symptoms like:<br>

sporadic heat spikes, no visual movement of water in radiator, no fan running, overheating light on and off<br>

These are just a few, but they all boil down to no water movement, like a thermostat or water pump failure. Of course there is also the possibility of a bad thermostat switch (bottom of radiator), bad thermostat even a bad overheating switch (back of rear cylinder near water inlet.) <br>

You can check the fan switch (bottom of radiator) by noting that it just give the fan a ground when it switches. So disconnect the line from the fan to the thermostat switch and ground it (the fan line), the fan should turn on. Thermostat can be placed in a pan with water and heated to ensure it opens. The other switches are checked by ohm meter since they close when it's overheated.<br>

We replaced most of these parts also. Further investigation shows that we were not getting water flow. The thermostat has a hole in it for relieving the system of air. The air can cause the pump not to work and no water flow. So we found that the thermostat was put in upside down so the hole with the partial rivet was at the bottom. Drill a hole in the top of the thermostat, 1/8 inch, ensure you don't drill where the thermostat closes and seals or where it will be covered by the gasket or sealant.<br>

Put the stuff back together, fill radiator, while filling remove the dark bolt on the intake manifold near the center and purge the air out of the system while filling the radiator.<br>

Check for leaks after starting and as you drive it to warm it up feel the radiator for a slow warming, not fast high heat changes, this is a problem. Hopefully when it gets hot the fan will run on and off properly. This should a proper fix.<br>
