Guys,

This is my second 4310 in the last year, I would not have bought a second unit if I did not feel deere was the best. I feel any new product may have some bugs and a link that lists any issues and the resolution may save us all a lot of needless headaches. For example the ehydro issue, where the tractor is stopped and then will not move forward or backward without shutting the unit down and restarting. All the posts seem to indicate the fix is the ehydro control module. Many owners and dealers could save themself some time by learning from our experience.

I did consider the Kubota but feel the electronics on the deere are functional and you get more work out of your machine with a smaller hp unit.

please continue to prost problems and resolutions it will help all of us.

First I have been a big Deere fan all my Life. Owned several models 318, 322, 755 and most recently a 4310.

With the latest purchase in May I had some issue, tilt wheel broke, backhoe would never lift into position to pop l pins in, leak in the rear, seat bracket broke, loader valve sticky, gauges fog up, hoses pop off power beyond kit.

All of the items were addressed by the dealer, however it did take four trips for the backhoe issue.

I ended up selling the unit, thinking the 3 acers I have did not warrent that size machine. I have been searching for a replacement and was considering the 4110 but it appears somewhat smaller than my 755. So, and yes I know they make medication for this type of condition I went out and bought a new 4310 setup exactly like the one I sold. At least that was the plan.

I boycotted the first dealer, did not like the service managers attitute nor his followup with escation with Derre. For that matter, did not like Deer's follow up or concern on my issues-we had a district manager involved.

OK back to the story, so I go Sat to inspect the unit so he could deliver Monday. I get there and the unit is a mess, dirt everywhere. I brushed that asside for a monment and as him to show me how the backhoe comes on and off. SAME ISSUE he could not lift it high enough to get the L pins in and the routing on the power beyond hoses was wrong. After 1/2 he gave up and said he would get it corrected.

Keep in mind, I explained all of the past issues to the salesman and owner of the place, they assurred me I would not have the same issue.

Before leaving the store, I looked over the unit and it was a scratched up on the hood and plastic fenders. He said he would get it all cleaned up. Also the backhoe bucket, an 18" type looked like a cheap aftermarket, very thin compared to the 12" I had on the previous machine.

The question, do I go ahead with the purchase? 27K is a lot of cash just to cut my grass and move stuff around. I consider it like a new car purchase but the mindset of these dealers seems to be its just a tractor its going to get scratched and dirty-they feel its nothing a can of krylon paint wont fix.

The plastic fenders, entire platform also is a concern?

Back to the question, so I purchase?

The new Kubota 3430 is looking better and better for the same amount of cash I could have it.

Should I give Deere one more try of buy Kubota

Deere is building deere, I think-Yanmar engines which I belive in. But mybe they are not building them. Tell me what you know, why the L3430 over the 4310. I am considering both

I like the real metal fenders,hood and platform of the kubota

The user features are my concern, do the loaders come off and on as easy as the deere. Can you keep a 72 in belly mower on while the loader and hoe are on
Does the how go on and off easy?

Deere dealer showed me a video with the units compared and the eyhro on the deere seemed to determine which gear was right and make the change without stopping on a hill, Both the NH and Kubota had to stop and shift into a lower range. The showed this pulling a load up a hill. Anything to it???

Guys,

Need a bit of advise, I owned and sold a 4310 with 430 loader and 48hoe. I really liked the unit. I had the following issues:

Tilt wheel broke-fix out PIP, changed plastic for metal sleeve

Hoe would not lift all the way into position-after four trips to the dealer they got it to work without the stabilizer lifting the extra 1/4 in

Leak in rear-I really dont knoww what they did but they fixed it

Loader joystick kinda sticky

hose to backhoe needed straight fitting, could not get it under the seat to plug in so they rerouted it

Seat frame bent-they replaced

All of these issues , were corrected. I ended up selling because I felt it was too big. I went to get a smaller unit, 4115 but now feel the 4310 was the right size, for the extra 6K its a piece I coiuld do some real work with

Now the issue, Consider I had some issues with the deere, all corrected but issues no the less. I strated to look at the Kubota, the new line is appealing. I like the all metal vs the plastic of the deere. A crak in the floor of the deere could be a real issue. While I never had an issue with the ehydor and electronics on the deere some posts scare me.

I feel the deere has a higher resale, and likly has some better user features. But now am torn on which way to go

Suggestions??

I had a 4310 with 430 loader, when I first got it the loader worked fine, what i did not like was that at around 30hours the joystick felt like it was sticking.Say you were lifting something, let go of the stick but the bucket kept traveling.

I too looked at them, Yanmar is a great tractor, but I could not get past the high cost for units build in the early 80's. Why spend 7-10 on a 20 year old unit. You can get a new tractor for a little more with a warranty.

If these guys were selling under 5K, then maybe. But used JD 955 and 855 are around at 10-12K.

I just cannot see where the market is for these old units

Ok my id says I am a deere fan, no bashing here CC is a good product but I worry about resale value and where MTD is taking the comapny

Look around, see many cc dealers folding or calling it quits-why

dollar for dollar you cannot beat a deere product
