I would appreciate some comments from JD 2210 owners. I posted this question on the other tractor forum. <br>

I was at the Massey Ferguson dealer looking at a GC2300. The dealer said the GC2300's 3-PT is close to true Cat-1 capability because the distance between the 3 pt arms is 26", whereas other brands have only 24". Therefore the GC2300 can accept Cat-1 Implements as long as height is not an issue.<br>

What is your experience with the JD2210 accepting Cat-1 implements such as dethacther/ tiller/ aerator/ rear blade/ box blade? <br>

Just want to thank everyone for their advice. My Cub Cadet (782) is running again.

After 3 weeks of mowing my 5 acres with a 22" Sears push mower (purchased back in 1987), I appreciate my little Cub Cadet even more now.

I still have one small problem. . .

The hydro fluid and filter have been changed, but I still have the same problem. During the first 10 minutes of running the tractor, the hydro transmission feels jerky. I have to drive it slow during this time. After that, the problem goes away.

Any suggestions?

What does this really mean? I am shopping for a sub-compact diesel tractor (JD2210 or BX2230), and I came across this term at the JD web site. I learned from reading the post here that dealer support is very important. So I was trying to get more insights on the dealers (JD and Kubota) in my area (Maryland).<br>

A lot of the JD dealers listed on their web site has this "distinction" -- I would like to know your experience with some of the "Gold Certified JD dealers".<br>

One more question : my JD dealer gave me a quote for a JD2210 with 62 inch MMM and 210 FEL for about $12,850. He did not include the dual mid selective control valve (It�s an option with a list price of $700). <br>

Do I need it? Is this something I can install later after I brought the tractor? I am also not sure if the price includes ballast so I need to call him back to verify. Should I buy the Ballast box instead?<br>

I also also in the Southern Maryland area. I have a Cub Cadet and would like to move up to one of these sub-compact. I would like to know . . .

- which JD dealer did you buy from? Did you have to negotiate the price?

- Did you consider other brands such as the Kubota BX2230 or NH TZ/Case DX series?

I would like to add a loader to the tractor -- how much will I have to spend?<br>

I also looked at a new Cub Cadet 5254 25hp (gas engine) with Loader asking for $10,700.

My question is how does the gas engine compare to diesel engine?

What is the kubota or Deere equivalent (not just horsepower, but actual ability to do work - torque, hydraulics)?
