I have a Vermeer TS-20 3pt tree spade that will fit on my '84 1710, but it does not have self contained hydraulics like my BH does.<br>

I did pick up a rear remote kit ($300-$400) by an accessory company a few years ago that I never installed. It has an adapter plate that goes between a cover on the right side of the 3pt housing with hoses, valve and connectors. But another tractor owner once told me that would interfere with my FEL operation, so it never fully installed.<br>
<br>
So the questions for someone more experienced then I am, should I go with the remote kit or come up with another PTO pump and reservoir so the Tree Spade is self contained like the hoe? Not sure if the native 1710 hydraulics are up to this, either.<br>

And does anyone have a good source for hydraulic reservoirs that I could use on the TS? I have one on the ARPS BH, but that one needs to stay there.

Has anyone found a cheaper source for brake shoes on the Ford compact tractors?<br>

This is the second set on the left wheel that have shucked off the shoes and at $90 per shoe from the dealer this is less then satisfactory.

The final solution, sort of.

I wanted to put an end to this tread. So often you find open ended threads and never know what happened.

The weekend that I went to change out the fluids I started the tractor and let it run - again. Hydraulics still worked - up, down, curl and PS. Then I tried to let the bucket float and noticed that the bucket would slowly rise, rather then go down to the soil level. So the issue at least at this point appeared to be at the loader valve.

I ran some more and worked the bucket with some loads and after about 10 minutes, the float function worked again. I continued using it for another hour with no issues.

The fluid and filter were changed, but I did not have any evidence of water, which may be due to the hour long operation. Anyway no problems since so it appears water ice was the issue after all.
