Just had a new Gator TX delivered yesterday equippped with power dump lift, receiver hitch, bumper, brush guard, and fender guards. We actually wanted a 6X4 but after trying out the TX with the new suspension and only a little less payload, we were sold. It holds the same dimensions as the 6X4, incsluding bed size. Anyone interested in a 4X2 or 6X4 should really try the TX with the suspension and the bigger 401cc Kawasaki engine. We were impressed when we climbed a large hill with ruts at the dealership and the TX went right up without slipping or causing ruts...and my wife wasn't afraid of it flipping over, even on this incline.

Thanks again beagle. I'll have to add that on to the "fencing expense", although I can barely afford the fence!! Maybe I can get the neighbors along my property borders to share the cost.

I have a 2003 GMC 2500HD extended cab 4X4 shortbed with 4.56 gearing. I average about 14 mpg general driving and about 12-13 towing my dump trailer or my travel trailer. Overall, it's been trouble free and I've been happy. I traded a 2001 GMC 1500 extended cab 4X4 with the 5.3 for it. That truck averaged 17-18 miles per gallon, but only about 11 towing the same equipment. There are trade-offs with everything!
