You guys are really a wealth of knowledge. Two years ago I paid two dope smoking long hairs $500 to re-stain the cedar on the front of my house. I don't know what they used but they really did a nice job. Well, I can see in another year or so it will need to be redone. I guess they weren't all that effiecient. Thanks to you guys I realize this can be done with out the Ozzy Osbourne Music but maybe not the,,,,anyway thanks..

I live in the snow belt of N.E. Ohio. I use a back blade and always have. Maybe it is because that is the only thing available to me(I am cheap). I'm sure you can get by with this set up. I have plowed 20" plus(stiff neck and all), all be it in smaller bites. Whatever you can afford now while building a new house, you can always upgrade to a blower later. You can move the piles as they build up, it is another eason to run your machine in sub freezing weather. DC Smith

My only concern with the Eicher would be the air cooled diesel. Maybe ok in the north but could be a litle problematic in the south. Same thing for the Belarus.

I use a 7500 for mowing(finish) 4 acres at my house. I have a 60' rear mount with no FEL. My yard holds a lot of water it doesn't tear things up to badly. Of course it weighs only about 1700lb with the mower. It really is a well built little machine.

I have harvested over 15000 pine trees over the last 20 years. Fortunetly I am almost done. The first thing you need to consider is vegetation control(ie..mowing). Your row width depends on the size of your machine your going to mow with. You will not neeed a tree spade for many years 4-7 I suppose. You need to lay out your field for the optimum usage of land, and then figure out how to keep the competitve vegetation down(mowing width).
Many people I deal with like using a tree spade on a 3 point hitch of a tractor. This makes it possible to work alone, where as a Skid steer it is impossible. I would also consider going with at least a 30" spade. an 18" or 20" ball can be dug by hand with little effort, and they can be altered for smaller size balls.
I realize some of this is obviuos. I'd hate to see someone make the same mistakes as me. Incidently, I have used a 4wd 16 hp Mitsubishi a 17 hp 2wd Kubota, and I just purchased a 4wd B7500. The last machine being a perfect fit. Good luck.

I just sold a 1973 L175 Kubota. I don't know exactly the hours on it but I would estimate around 9000. It always started and ran well. I just bought a brand new B7500. I have around 70 hrs on it with no complaints. Just my 2 cents.

I looked hard and long at them, all of about 20 minutes. Some of the Chinese tractors that were in the crates already had oil stains underneath them. I had a bad "Lemon" Diesel tractor once. I cannot tell you the amount of frustration that thing brought on me. Find someone who owns one before you purchase that thing. Good Luck
