Hi and thanks to all who helped with this discusion thread. I took delivery of the Kubota L3240 HST Plus, with 724 FEL. Seems like a real nice machine. I've moved some snow piles with it, but this doesn't seem to test the tractor much. I did go out an start it this morning when the outside temp was 0F. Started a bit slow but it did start right up no problem. Anyway, it seems like a great machine, thanks again

Hi Northnyman,

I'm checking into Barlow now for a new L3240 HST Plus 4WD with LA724 FEL now

I believe Barlow could quote a better price than I may get locally.

But I have concern about service after the sale. My local guy may not want to service my tractor because I didn't buy it there

Did you have this concern, and if so, how did you deal with it?

I've got two quotes from dealers for my trade in for my 1989 Case IH 245 4WD w/FEL 1300hrs

1st guy said between $5000 and $6000

2nd guy came and looked at the tractor, started it up, checked it out and the next day $5500

Interesting it's close between the two dealers.

I'm going to speak with my neighbor soon to see if he is still interested. Thanks for everyone's help
