Oliver, another thing to consider while comparing models is loaders. Look at lift height and weight capacities. You'll find a difference with JD 790 vs 4310, don't know about other manufactures?

An older Yamaha G-1 makes a great utility rig. They're 2cycle/oil injected, bullet proof and will haul a hefty payload. We have one we've painted JD green and call the Yamagator!

Be Careful....A few months ago I saw a 2003, 4700 w/ loader on E-Bay. It had a "buy it now" of $8500. This machine had pics and looked perfect. while I was trying to deceide if this was too good to be true, someone bought it. We corresponed and he found out it was a hoax.

Bought tractor at Pioneer in Madras, have land at Crooked River Ranch and they are my closest dealer and matched Lenon Equip's price. The folks at Madras are really great to work with also. I checked out Fisher in Gresham and they were a bit higher.
