I also have an s500 with DST 90-04565 engine. Got it with engine in pieces from the workshop that I work. The owner of the tractor said I can have it. He also said that parts are not easy to find. He said the bearings are bad.It was loaded and at home had an good look at the bearing liners.They are cooper-lined and not white metal. He must have thought that it has run bearings. Needs to be resleeved as well. Will be rebuild slowly. As far as I understand the tractors was built for the smaller David Brown market as they did not have tractors in that segment but was not sold under the DB name. Maybe that`s way the bonnet looks like an DB`s. I am in South Africa and have not seen one at tractor show.
