Hello everyone,<br>

I bought a Yanmar tiller off e-bay and am waiting for it to show up here. After buying it (of course) I got concerned about the PTO direction. It seems that I read somewhere that the PTO direction on some of the Kubota tillers (the older ones) were opposite of standard. Does anyone know this to be true and what about the Yanmar tillers? Are they pretty decent? This one looked good but you know what they say about looks. I just want to make sure it'll work with my 855.<br>

I can agree to disagree. That's OK too. It's what makes America what we are. I just don't think there is anyway a Kubota BX can outrun a Chevrolet 2500HD with a 7' plow on it.

Honestly, when I have a question like that I call my dealer and ask them what they would ask for it if they put it out for sale. They always tell me and they are quite honest. Let me know if you want my dealers number.

Hi all. Here is the update. The American made 25Amp fuse works perfect. I was explaining this to someone else and they thought that becuase the foreign made one had thinner blades that it probably wasn't making as good of contact with the terminals in the fuse block and therefore it was getting hot.

Well, that's one problem solved. On to fixing that drawer in the kitchen.

I know Curtis makes them. The same company that makes the cabs. Let me know what you come up with as I am looking for the same thing. I don't really want to pay for new though.

Well the problem I had before with the lights was due to corrosion on the fuse for the headlights. That created resistance and melted the fuse and fuse block. <br>

Now that it's up and running, does anyone here have rear work light mounted on their 855 or similar? I didn't know if the light splices into the fender headlight or does it run all the way back to the switch? I believe the work light comes on with the headlights but not sure. It's getting pretty dark early around here and I am still out there working away.<br>

I was mowing at the church tonight with my 855 and had the headlights on. They worked fine for about 1/2 hour then they went out. I checked the fuse and the 25amp fuse is melted in the fuse holder. It not only melted in the holder but through the holder. Any ideas on how to fix this?<br>

Well my two cents are this. If the 2210 did fine mowing and the Kubota dealer didn't feel good about his machine running on your property. That pretty much narrows it right down. It really depends on how much you plan to use that back hoe. It might be cheaper to rent it instead of buy it.

My alliance is first and foremost with safety. Like I said, did you feel safe on the 2210? Did it handle predicatbly? If need be can you switch the rear tires to a wide stance position (I don't know if you can on that tractor but I would think so).

If you are thinking of a pull behind mower for your quad, I would consider the other tasks you will want the tractor to perform. You won't be able to put a front end loader, snow blower, PTO powered anything, or 3 point hitch anything on a quad. Why buy twice?

If it were me, I wouldn't hesitate at the 2210. John Deere quality is impeccable, it always really has been.

I have a great dealer in my area. It doesn't seem to matter what I order (except owners manuals. I have been waiting 8 weeks on that now). The longest I have ever waited for any part for my tractors was 2 days. Most of them are one day.

I wish there was an online resource for owners manuals for discontinued tractors.

Hi Hettric,

I bought it at Tractor Supply Company. The brand name I believe is Worksaver. It works pretty well. It will dig up to 48" and will take a 6", 9", and 12" auger that change by just removing two bolts. What I don't like about it is that it comes with this metal bar that you are supposed to use to level the auger over where your digging but when you dig, the bar hits the one of the U shaped beams on the post hole digger and bends so I just took it off. Other than that, it is made very well and it seems to be quite heavy duty. I paid about $ 550 roughly for the whole thing.

Well, got the grill off. I think it was supposed just pull straight off but someone put screws in it to hold it in place. It must have kept coming off on them or something.

I am new to the 855 world. I have an owners manual on order (for about 3 weeks now) at my local dealer and it still hasn't come in. I wanted to know if someone could tell me how to remove the grill from the front of the tractor. I want to check the air filter and I can't figure out how to get to it. If it's like the rest of the tractor, it probably needs to be serviced. I am thinking the previous owner didn't do anything with it since he said he had it for only 6 months and never changed the oil. <br>
