Thank you cutter and steve arnold. Sorry for the long delay in responding. The Morton building is wonderful! Quality is the best, they really have their act together. Next step; water and sewage rough in for bathroom, (shower, toilet, slop sink, wash basin), electric, floor drain rough in, then concrete. Haven't got any quotes for concrete here in Maryland yet. Still working on the above. Again thank you!! Stanley

Do you really need skid shoes? I have a 5 foot rear blade on my Kubota and just use the blade itself on my asphalt driveway. I have yet to do any damage to the driveway other than a few very light scrape marks where the asphalt might have a slight high spot. After a few weeks you don't even notice the marks.

Had my Kubota 8 plus years now. Use the hydro hard sometimes but never abused it. What I mean is that I don't go forward and then slam the reverse pedal, I wait til it comes to an almost stop then back up. I've used my B1550 (17 hp) to dig, push snow, pull downed trees, etc. and NEVER had a problem. I maintain the equipment as best as I can using synthetic oils. I'll probably hear crap about this but I'll never go back to a gear tractor. I agree with Jason. Good luck!

Suggestion: I would not cable tie directly to the hoses. I've seen hoses cable tied that were damaged by the cable ties<br>due to vibration. What works really good is to take a piece of old hose, garden hose, split electrical spiral wrap, etc., <br>first placing the old hose over the hydraulic line and then attaching the cable tie.

Robert, I have a B1550 4wd hydrostatic transmission, loader and 5' belly mower.<br>This is a 17 hp diesel vs the B1750 which is 20 hp. Same body style, size,<br>everything except hp and pto hp. The B1750 also gets cruise control standard<br>where it is optional on the 1550. I've had my 1550 for nearly 8 years now and<br>have NEVER had a problem with it. I did have to replace the battery however.<br>I am very pleased with the 1550, I use it hard but do not abuse it. I change<br>the engine oil and filter every 50 hrs instead of the recommended 100 hrs. I<br>use synthetic oil. I have about 560 hrs on the 1550. It never overheats, always<br>starts in the winter, (I cheat, I have a heated barn), and is really dependable.<br>I hope this helps. I have the Kubota brochure on the 1550 and 1750 if there is<br>anything else you need I might have the info available for you. Oh, I also have<br>a 4' Woods rotary mower that I use to cut 8 plus acres. Good luck, Stanley

Regarding the Kubota brake pedals being on the same side as the hydrostatic pedal,<br>how important is it for you to make real tight turns using the brakes? I realize<br>Deere decided to place the split brakes on the left side but with my Kubota B1550<br>I never use the split brake. Maybe if they were on the left side I might use them<br>but for me I really don't need them. Mostly lawn cutting and loader use. As far <br>as removing the belly mower it can be a pain in the rear but I jack up the front<br>and rear, (always using jack stands) and then roll the mower either out or in. Works<br>great for me. Of course I've had 8 years to get this down to a science. For<br>what its worth, I'll never purchase a tractor without hydro or power steering<br>(especially with a loader), and after 8 years I've NEVER had a problem with the<br>Kubota starting, running, mowing, loader use, etc. Good luck, Stanley<br>

Since I don't use a tremendous amount of diesel fuel I use both a 5 gallon container<br>and a 1 1/2 gallon container. To make it easier for me when the 5 gallon can is<br>full I usually fill the little can and dump that into the tractor. Then I go<br>back and refill the smaller can repeating the procedure until the 5 gallon can<br>is light enough to fill the tractor. I also use a large funnel. I know it takes<br>a few steps but it works pretty good for me.

This is not one of the newer models. It is about 10 years old. Overall it has been a good machine. I have experienced only one major problem - a leaking seal and now this fuel thing which was brought on by letting it get to a low fuel level. The Hydraylics are not as responsive as I would like. Some folks don't like the hand clutch for PTO operation. I don't regret buying it.

For what its worth. Kubota dealer in Hickory MD. stated that they have had<br>problems in the past with the GST trans. He highly recommended the hydrostatic.<br>I know the hydro cost more (I have a hydro) but from my experience I'd never<br>go back to a gear tractor. (I had one originally). I realize you loose a little<br>horsepower, but the convenience of the hydro is worth it to me. Just my 2 <br>cents worth. Good luck.

Even though I think the Magnatrac is a very interesting piece of equipment why<br>would anyone buy one when you could purchase a skid steer loader that you could<br>put grouser tracks on. With brand names skid steers; Bobcat, John Deere, Case,<br>JCB, etc. you could have everything that the magnatrac offers and more but have<br>parts availability, brand name recognition, and probably cheaper price. The<br>accessories available for the skid steers are only limited by your pocketbook.

I spoke to a Kubota salesman over the weekend and he verified that you cannot put<br>a backhoe on the L series tractors that have the factory cab. A note on the back<br>of the brochure stated
