The "tooth" on a scarifier or subsoiler won't pull the dirt out of the trench well enough to allow you to put something in. What you need is a "shovel" plow, which is what you see on a middle buster. If you have a subsoiler a 14" shovel costs about $45.

I live in TN which my relatives in GA and MS tell me ain't in the south, so I understand them big words. Some poor soul asked about tag alongs and why they don't flip. The answer is they are too HEAVY to get off the ground. ;^)

If the tank quits digesting and backs up, you'll have to pump it out. The one at my brother's house is now in its 47th year and hasn't had a pump truck within a hundred yards. The trick is to stick some of the enzymes and bacteria down the toilet once in awhile. The box will tell you to do it every month, but I think that's overkill.

Another thing to consider is the sulphur content of the fuel you are using. The stuff sold at the tax free pumps is generally high sulphur, while that sold at the local truck stop probably isn't. The higher the sulphur content the more sulphuric acid created in the combustion chamber, which ends up in the oil. You might want to change sooner than once a year!
