Thanks for your post Steve. I will check out the site you suggested. I talked to an old country tractor dealership in North Ga. today about the tractor. They told me the 5,500.00 the person is wanting for the tractor with all the implements is a fair/good price. They spoke well of that particular model and said exactly what you stated about it being a great little tractor. Thanks for your advice and time to post your thoughts. I appreciate it!

Sorry Greg. Re-read my post. Did not mean to imply that others had inferior equipment. By in my investigation, the features available for the $ I had available, the NH was best. I can't even remember what color it is.

Just bought a NH TC18. My dealer also said to use 'farm' diesel from the local coop. He mentioned that if on-road diesel is used, a fuel additive should also be used. The rational as explained to me was the internal lubrication thing.

Where did you get the price of $8,900 for the tractor. I was just quoted a price of $10,300 for the tractor only. That was supposed to be the 'discount price' not the MSRP.
