MY 1999 7275 (1100 HOURS) CUB MAKES A LOUD CRANKING NOISE IN HIGH GEAR WHILE EXCELLERATING. IT DOES NOT APPEAR TO DO IT AS MUCH IN LOW GEAR.<br>

The gear shifter is stuck in reverse on my MF 231. THe clutch seems to be working and I can engage the pedel to stop motian of the tractor. The hi - lo selector moves freely when clutch is engaged.. Has this happened to anyone before? and is this something that must be fixed by tearing down the tranny ?

Why did you waste your time with the V8. For $500 you could have put the V-10 in your rig. I'm on my second super duty with a V-10 and love it! I would never go back to a stinky, noisey diesel, been there done that!

I have been placing my daughter's "muck" pile in a corner of our pasture. After about six months, it is starting to accumulate to the point where I need a plan. What are some of my options of what to do with this pile? Should I just leave it? Try to spread it over the pasture? I do not have a spreader but I do have a tractor with bucket.
I would be interested in knowing what others do with their horse manure. Obviously, the manure is mixed with stall shavings.
Part II - since completing my barn project, I have used my tractor very little. So little that I cannot justify having that much money sit idle. The only real need that I see for my tractor is to move this pile occasionally. If I sold the tractor is there another way (other than pitch fork & wheel barrow) that folks manage manure?

Well, I did it. I ordered a DR Field and Brush mower. They ship in 3-5 days so I am expecting it before Christmas, or shortly thereafter. Have any of you tried the snow blower attchment that is now offered with the machine? I am considering getting one of those in the future but not before I read some testimony from users. It is a single stage unit and I am uncertain if it will do the job that I need done. (Gravel driveway with a steep slope). Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone! Kevin

My question is sort of general but I still hope you can help me. Are front mounted snow blowers used on tractors generally two stage or single stage machines? If they are single stage, why is that? It seems that higher end snow blowers are typically two stage. Also, if they are single stage (which I suspect they are), how do they work on gravel driveways? It seems to me that a high speed auger would be easily damaged by rocks and stones. A two stage blower might be less susceptable to rocks since it it moves slowly and the impeller of a two stage would less likely get rocks passed into it? I am trying to decide how best to tackle my snow removal. I have paved and gravel to contend with. I would like a tractor mounted blower but maybe a two stage snowblower would be better. I have a J.D. 4100 (Gear). I use it primarily for loader work on fill, stones etc. I recently noticed that the left piston, attached to the loader drips hydralic fluid. There is also a black rubber O-Ring that has detached from the piston sleeve and has slipped down the piston (when I raise the bucket up, this ring slides down the piston. When I lower the bucket back down, it stays at that point on the piston rather than retract with the arm. I realize that I am using the wrong terms here but I hope you get the point.
How expensive of a repair is this going to be and how critical is it to get fixed right away? Thanks for your help. Kevin

John Deere sells a snow plow blade attachment made for my 4100. Have any of you looked at (or bought) one? I expected to have to go to a Fischer Dealer or a welding shop to buy a front power angle blade but JD makes one. I am wondering if the JD is as good as Western or Fischer. The JD price is comparable (beleive it or not). I looked for it on the JD website but so far, I cannot find any information about it. Thanks in advance!

Check out www.mahindrausa.com and www.mahindraworld.com. Mahindra started in 1945 assembling Willy Jeeps. In 1963, they entered into a joint venture with International Harvester to build tractors. 1982, the "Mahindra" brand in born. 1994, Mahindra USA created. They recently added three new 4WD models here in the USA, (they aren't even on the corporate web-site), the 2810, 3510 & 4110, which have Daedong engines. Daedong is the Korean company that builds Kioti tractors, and these tractors look the same. The other models, 2WD, are built in India and are based on the old IH B-414.

I'd like some advice from existing YM owners. I own a small hobby farm in the UP of Michigan and am considering purchasing a YM. I found a 155D (1978) with 950 hours on it from it's original owner. It comes with a 48" deck and 48" rear snowblower for $3300. Should I pull the string and buy it? What should I look out for if I look at it? Thanks, KL

Just a word of warning, chain does strech, also only us grade 8 chain, it is the only chain (there is a grade 10) that is rated for lifting.

hat to say it guys but i think i got you all beat. i baught a 1989 750w 900hr loader backhoe new agy tires worn terfs, 6ft finish mower 4ft. bush hog, 6ft. box 6ft. ter blade. land plow . power steering good shape needed some paint but all worked perfectly. i paid 12000.00 i think it was a steel. beleave it or not it was from a dealer. go figure. ha any one have a cab for this thing. also im looking for a over size tire for it some thing bigger than stock. even some big terfs or ind tires.
