The plane I trained in is stil in service (N1910T). A Piper Cherokee 140. Back in '76 I got a private license and that works good enough. I am still shopping for a Grunman Tiger to buy. Happy trails....

Can anyone comment on how good the Howse PHDS15 post hole auger is? I'm looking to buy a digger and this is the one I keep coomming back to look at. The price has a lot to do with it too.

The 48" King Kutter works well on my BX22. TSC had them for 519.00 when I bought it. If you are going to do serious brush whackin' I wouldn't go any bigger. If you are just going to do rough mowing you could probably even go 60".

I got some pictures back of my rendition of FEL modification for snow removal. The finsihed product in action is on the next roll of film still in the camera so I'll add them later.<br>

We have had an inch of snow here so far and it seems to work well. By rolling the bucket out it still scrapes concrete clean.<br>

Ah, the screen/strainer. Yes, spend a couple of minuites and take it out to clean it. I used carb cleaner and the air hose to clean mine. If your transmission is shredding parts the strainer is a good place to catch the problem before it becomes a $$$$ nightmare.

I run it pretty level. I hear you get a better cut and smaller pieces that way. Only one bolt to kick up the rear a little. I'll give it a try.

Amen Chief.
50 hour service is there for a reason. Potential problems can be caught early. Any solvents, assembly lube, or contamination trapped during assembly are strained, filtered and purged. The service interval specified by the manufacturer is there for a reason. I could go on forever. But I won't. You get the idea.

your right, the 1500 is a heck of a machine. My neighbor has one and that is what sold me on the buying a Kubota. A few shy on the horses it is still a great machine.

I have heard this about diesel fuel and have seen technical publications on 2 stroke oil for bacteria. the main problem is bacteria clogging filters and screens. It does sound strange that a bacteria could live in a petrolum enviroment but I did read it. I'll sniff around and see if is still in my "stack o' stuff" here and send you a copy if I can find it.

Not really. It has tint that is a bit yellowish but pretty clear. It is also runny like water. It is thin stuff. My guess is that is is syntheric. Glenn
