I have a D2650FD tractor that has over heated, runs hot, from the day I purchased. <br>
<br>
I have flushed the radiator installed a therm. stat to give more residant time in the radiator, that helped some.<br>
<br>
I have also bumped up the radiator cap to a 12 lb. The tractor still gets up to 100 cel. of 212.<br>
<br>
The tractor performs well and I have put 100 plus hrs. on it and have not had any performance I just have to work it stop cool it down etc.<br>
<br>
I do not see alot of flow in the radiator.It had a new water pump on it when I bought. I was wounder if maybe it was a rebuilt and is weak or maybe the shives are worn out I really cannot tell.<br>

Anyone have any thoughts ? <br>

I have a D2650FD and the rear seal on the drop box is leaking. according to my manual it looks like it will be easy to replace. Does any one know where I can get a seal and bearings for one? <br>
If so am I over looking how easy it looks to replace ?

Is there any difference from an automotive thermastat and a so called tractor thermastat ?????????????<br>
My D2650FD was running hot. I discovered the radiator was pluged and it did not have a thermastat.I want to put one in but i do not know the type or temp setting...................HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I own the same tractor and bought the manuals from the fellow that is replying. They are excellent manuals. I bought mine before my tractor got sick. I will say mine will not shut off some times. I to live in Florida and Napa parts stores carry allot of parts that will match up.
Or you can get things rebuilt instead of replacing.

You must have a much firmer soil with a lot of stones. I am from north Fl and the fellow that needed advise if from GA.
Our soil has alot of sand and clay, no lime rock etc, Once it is broken up a tiller makes a great seed bed and for us Our tractors run cooler using a tiller. I can not say I have heard of the rear ends having trouble down here.
We have a King Kutter II that has treated us well. We plant 30 acres several times a year for our deer.

I have a D2650FD. Are all the hydralic fluids created equal or is there some better than others when it comes to serviceing my transmission ?

Fogot to mention that oil looks good. Still leaning towards dirty rad. and bad cap........

Thanks for the info. It is a brand new model according to King Kutter. It looks like it maybe less maint. There are no springs to lose tension etc. I was always used to seeing the spring models. I guess I will try it and see what happens. Our woods are a couple of hours away and I was concerned if it broke was it a stock item. I think you helped answer my Question...
