I have a JD 48C mower deck that I am trying to change the blades on. I have changed blades before but these blades are seized. I have tried t get them off with a 1/2" drive and socket but the bolt heads measure 23/32 and I can only get a 3/4" to fit. These bolts should turn lefty loosey but i cannot get tyhem to unseat in either direction.<br>

I have a TC21D and use a Land Pride model 1560 5 ft. rear discharge 3 pt. finish mower for about 4 acres of hilly pasture. If the land is hilly this is probably the most finish mower the TC21D will handle. Sometimes on steep grades depending on the height of the grass the rpm's will drop a bit. Plan on using low range all the time and have the max weight on the front to keep the front end down when lifting and transporting the mower. Mowing flat land with this setup is no problem but the hillsides will work the 21 hp. even wide open.
I started out with a Land Pride 2560 5 ft. 3 pt. mower which is 120 lbs. more than the 1560, it was too much for the TC on the hills. The 1560 that I use now weighs about 490 lbs. which I think is about the same as the 5 ft. 3pt. Woods.
I want to get a loader sometime soon. How do you like the loader on your TC, what have you used it for, and what bucket do you have? Also, what are did you use for rear ballast?

For a TC21D I paid $11,300 for the tractor alone and got a quote of $3200 for a loader.

Hey, Can anyone give me a price check on a TC21D. Trying to decide on TC25D or TC21D, cost will determine my final decision. I see TC25D quotes here about 13,000 to 13,600, but can't nail down a TC21D quote range. Local dealer has both in stock so I need to go armed with some price info. Any help would be appreciated !

OK I decided on cast weight! Now I guess my main concerns are traction in the winter and stability on the pasture hills in the summer. I'm not sure what you mean by my pickup on the hills, but my pickup can handel any place in the pasture (without snow) and the driveway in the winter is only a challenge for it in heavy snow (heavy snow is rare most snow falls are about 2 to 6 inches, southwest PA) My thoughts are if I need chains on R1's for the driveway in the winter (not concerned about chain marks, driveway is more like a road than a driveway, 2

After much thought narrowed choices to NH TC25, JD4200, KUBOTA L2500 and decided on theTC25. Mainly will use the tractor for cutting pasture and clearing snow on 800 ft paved drive. Property is 80% hillside. Could use some opinions from TC25 owners before I plunk down my hard earned cash. Any problems? How's the manual tranny? Would R4's add stability on hillsides? If so, would I be sacrificing traction on snow as opposed to R1's? Is the deluxe 3Pt worth the extra cash? What year were the TC's first produced? Any TC owners comments, opinions,or ansers to my questions would be greatly appreciated!<br>
