Per John Deere Operators Manual for 755/855/955 Tractor- Hydrostatic Drive Oil: Preferred=John Deere Low Viscosity HY-GARD Transmission/Hydraulic oil, covers -40 to +122 farenheit. However, can also use SAE10W engine oil if they meet API Service classification CE or CD (good for -10 to +122 F), or Auto transmission fluid of Type M2C33F or M2C33G (-22 to +122 F), or oils meeting Military Specification MIL-L-46167A as arctic oil. NOTE: Artic oil is for use from -67 degrees to +14 F. If you're not going to use John Deere Low Viscosity, double check with your supplier to make sure it meets one of the listed specs. Note: Havoline Automatic Trans. Fluid Type F says it meets M2C33F
