I have a mid 90s 6x4 gas Gator. I'd bought new chains for it because I thought the old ones were stretched out, kept coming off sprockets. Turns out the chain adjusting bolt or whatever it's called is missing. Does anyone know the part number?

The engine on my 20+ year old 6x4 started leaking last season, just Friday the oil pressure light came on and stays on. Level on the dip stick is just above full. I ordered replacement sensor hoping that solves the warning light problem. I know the engine needs attention but I'd rather put a new one in than spending probably double to rebuild the existing one.
I don't think the Predator solves a cooling issue. It being air cooled, sticking it in the confined space under the bed might have it's own cooling issues. You'd probably need to mount an electric fan at rear to move air under the bed.

Okay, I said melted, may be it didn't actually melt but the motion of the driveshaft / gearbox ground the shear bolt and it coated the gearbox shaft with the residue as the shaft was coming off the shaft. Which Loctite, blue?

I took off the front snow blower attachment yesterday to reinstall the bucket loader. In trying to attach the bucket's hydraulic hoses three of the four would not attach as they had pressure in them, the one they marked in with red wire tie did not. The only way I could relieve pressure was to unscrew the quick connect coupler from the hose and rescrew it once pressure was relieved. <br>

Can someone tell me how to relieve hose pressure so I don't have to bleed these every time I take it off and try to get it back on the tractor?

I've had a 6x4 Gator for 15 years, mine just started doing the same thing. It's been too cold here in Maine to take things apart in an unheated garage, might go to 50 today, I'll check under the bed to see if my belt is tearing.

I haven't replaced the belt and clutch needs work, gears grind going into forward or reverse unless I drop RPMs down by pulling choke lever. We enjoy the ride, just have to watch out for moose.

I have an early 90s 6x4 gas gator, have had it for 14 years. I had similar problem, carburetor was gummed up from gas. I dis-assembled it, used compressor to blow out gunk, cleaned everything and that got it running again.

I have a 6x4 1990's vintage, was partners with neighbor, ultimately bought his half because he kept lending it out to his friends without letting me know. When I had a leak I put a tube in it, hasn't leaked since. The former part owner shot some sort of slime in front left, only made things worse. If you can find a tube it's a sure fix.

Just went out to the machine. The gas filter is clean, the line from filter to pump is unobstructed, disconnected tube from carburetor and turned key to on position, pump moving lots of gas. Pulled front spark plug, looked very good for being 11.5 years (or more) old and verified spark by cranking engine, saw spark cross gap and arc to ground. Put plug back in, cranked with choke, one or two combustions then nothing. I have compressor in my shed next to Gator. Weather bad here, don't want to rip apart if it might rain so I'll leave until Saturday.

Well I went out to the Gator, turned the key on and heard the fuel pump. I tried starting again not choked, choked and not choked again and same results, nothing.
