I recently purchased a yanmar 1110d 4x4 14hp 2cly. tractor. I really love this little tractor. I want to give the tractor a good tune-up, but I don't know how much oil and transmission fluid it takes, or what even kind to use. I didn't recieve a manual, so i'm pretty much lost. I am familiar with all the controls, except what happens when you turn the key backwards a quarter turn. Is it Glow Plugs? Please forgive my unexcusable ignorance! God Bless anyone who knows and helps me with this information!

lsheaffer who has posted here for years frequently says he can get manuals.
You will need an owner's manual. The I&T manuals may cover the tractor and should be good enough for these type questions but factory manuals are better. YOu'll also need to find a source for filters. TSC and NAPA stores sometimes have filter x-ref tables that cover many tractors.
The backwards key turn is likely the pre-heater. Some Yanmars use fuel for pre-heating from a plastic bottle. A few bottles aren't fed from the tank and can run dry. ....

Check the dipsticks before draining & if they are full add the same amount as you drain from the tractor. Diesel oil in the engine, Universal hydraulic/transmission fluid = to JD303 in transmission. FWD axle 80w-90gear oil.
Turning the key backwards activates the thermostart system (heater in intake manifold.) Email me for info on obtaining manuals. ....
