I'm sure in one of these message boards I saw a web address for a company that made leaf collection system that ran of a PTO. Needless to say I lost the web address and can't find the article again. So any one have any recommended leaf collection / mulching systems for compact tractors that are suitable for yard clear up work. Preferably ones that use the PTO rather than a seperate engine. Thanks in advance best regards David

Have a friend looking for a good tractor. I have a JD 670 (Yanmar) that I just love. I can find great prices on them in the locat traders, but am concerned about the availabiliy of parts (or the lack thereof) in the Atanta area. If anyone knows of a dealer ect... please respond. Thanks ....

I went to Trac-Vac and it looks like a great piece of equipment. The picture showed the PTO vac and a hose to the mower deck. My question is this. Can you operate both mid and rear PTO implements at the same time? I thought I read a data plate that indicated this was a no-no. Can anyone clarify? ....

On many tractors it is possible to run both at the same time. It should tell you in the Operators Manual for your tractor. Another point--vacuum systems require a lot of power to keep good airflow. Self-powered Trac-Vacs and similar vac units use 5, 8, or 11 hp engines depending on the size of the deck. (Typical matchups are 5 hp vac for decks up to 48 - 54 inches, 8 hp vac for 60 - 72 inch decks, and 11 hp vac for 72 - 76 inch decks.) Obviously this is in addition to what the tractor requires to propel itself and run the deck. Unless your tractor is significantly overpowered for the size of deck you run, having an independent engine on the vac system may still offer you the most practical solution that really works well. Otherwise you may have to drive very slowly. ....
