Just bought a used 2002 BX22 with 150hrs on it. Shut it off the other day, now it won't start. Noticed the speed shifter was still in slow. Tried to move it to neutral but it's stuck, it won't shift. How can I get it back into neutral? Tried rocking the machine back and forth but it didn't work. Has anyone else had this problem?

Check your four wheel drive lever and move to two wheel drive. Some times you might get some binding or gear wind-up which might be holding it. ....

This happened on one of my other machines and what I ended up doing was looking for the safety switch and pressing it by hand(engage it) and then CAREFULLY start the machine. Be sure the hydro pedal is in "N". Once it starts move the pedal back and forth and it will go back into N. The gears are probably binded and this will do the trick. Don't force the lever or you will break the linkage. If you rock it good it should also pop it loose as you gently move the lever but you may need to bypass the safety swithch and fire her up first. Hope this helps, let us know how you make out. ....

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I did manage to get it back into neutral by putting the 4wd level into 2wd and using a little persuasion on the speed shifter. Once started I played around with moving the shifter from slow to neutral and back. Everytime it would not go back to neutral without alot of force. I tried rocking the hydro pedal but it didn't help. I did notice that when I let off on the pedal there was a little rearward creep to tractor. Could this be the problem? If so how do I correct it. Thanks again. ....

Does that mean that the tractor creaps in reverse when you have your foot off the hydro petal? ....

That's correct. Just a slight reverse creep. ....
