Since it was new, my tc35da has had drifting hydraulics. The fel will drift down about a foot/hour, and the backhoe boom will drift all the way down overnight. My dealer said to bring it back, but Im not in a situation where I can have the down time. He said whenever I was ready, but my question is ,has anyone else had this happen ?

The ony reason I mention this is that at work I have 3 wiggins forklifts,20000 lb capacity, that we rack and launch boats up to 43 ' long with.When they develop any kind of drift on any of the stages,we find out why immediatly and correct it. I have found that small drifts only get worse,and hydraulis are hydraulics,there should be no drifts. ....

I agree in theory.... and maybe NH has tighter specs than Deere and they will fix it for you.
I drive by the rental yard almost every day and see the bigger construction backhoes sitting there for days with the buckets raised and wish my 4115 could do that. ....

You shouldn't leave them sit with pressure on them anyway, but sometimes its necessary to hold something in place for a while. ....

Most all hydraulic systems will have some drift. Depends on temperature, seal quality and wear, spool quality and wear, and rod condition. No system can be "perfecty" sealed against drift. It is good practice to store equipment so there isn't any pressure applied to the cylider seals, and that the rods are in the oil out of the elements. ....

As a nh tech this amount of drift is acceptable to nh standards. Your back hoe has a transport lock use it if you do not want it to drift. ....

When I used my JD 4310 to haul bluestone to the edge of my poolyard - and I left the bucket filled with rock hovering over the edge as I laid the stone in place - I could hear and occasional click and within 15-20 minutes or so I would have to start the tractor to raise it about 6 inches. If the backhoe isn't pinned up it will be dragging on the ground by the end of the day - therefore when not in use I always have it pinned up. Both bucket and hoe perform flawlessly when put to use so I accept this as a minor inconvenience. Like DRankin said in a previous thread - the 3 pt hitch never seems to drift on me. But according to DR - his 3pt hitch did drift on his Kubota. Correct DR? ....

Yup. I had a JD 4100 and a BX22 parked side-by-side for several months.
The 4100 bucket would be flat on the ground every morning but the 3 point hitch right where I left it... even if it had 800 pounds on it.
The BX bucket never appeared to move but the three point hitch would droop overnight and fully lower after two days or so.. ....
