How to attach the backhoe

I just bought a little backhoe attachment to use on my neighbor's B7500. The prior owner of the backhoe told me that the easiest connection is to take the return from the front loader and route it through the backhoe, then return the backhoe through what was the front loader return. Having never really looked at the hydraulics on the B7500, this seems simple enough, but is it the best method?

Are the fittings on the Kubota going to be standard pipe thread or will they be metric?

The backhoe is basically the littlest CadDigger (about 5.5' digging depth and a 12" bucket). Should I be concerned that this needs more of a mounting than just the three point?
