I have been looking for a small used compact tractor. My first choice has been a Kubota B7100 HST. Yesterday, while at my local NH dealer getting parts for my 16 year old Ford lawn tractor, I took the opportunity to test drive the TZ24DA. This one was equipped with a 60" MMM and priced at $10.5K. This seems to be a better investment than $4K-$6K for a 12 year old B7100. My main use will be mowing 5 acres, some grading and snow removal, I plan to add a rear mounted tiller. Does anyone have any experience with this tractor, or its sister the TZ18DA? I realize this is the first year for this model. Thanks

I just picked mine up last week. I have a front end loader and mid mount mower. I worked it over HARD this past weekend. It ran great. I dug up some autumn olive trees with the front end loader. I was really surprised at how much power it had for its size. The mower worked great, but I wish I had a bush hog style for the field grass. I bought the 24 HP because of it's size in a small package. I wish they had an indication that the parking brake was on, because I could easily drive in low with it lightly engaged. I didn't notice I had it set unless I removed my foot from the foward petal and came to an abrupt stop. I didn't get the cruise control or automatic fwd. So far, I really don't need them, even mowing around the fence row on a 60 acre farm. I haven't performed any maintenance on it yet, since the first is scheduled at 10 hours. I can already see the oil filter accessability is going to be a two step process to remove a guard to get to it. Mine was brand new, the tractor 9.5K, MMM-2K, and FEL, 2.7K. ....

This past Saturday I took delivery of a new TZ24DA with a 60"mmm. I put about 2.5 hours on it that afternoon mowing. So far I am very pleased. Tractor is easy to operate and has plenty of power. I have got to get used to the ROPS around the trees as I broke a few branches. ....
