I have a Yanmar YM165D with a Yanmar loader. The caution and instruction labels are still on the loader, but the model label is either scraped off, or painted over so I don't know which loader it is. I was looking in a nearby Yanmar dealer a couple of years ago, though and there was no model made for the 165, though there was a note next to one loader that said it would work with the 165. Bottom line: the hydraulic pump for the loader leaks. the only legible numbers are a 'D', 242xx-2C where 'xx' may be AK, but it's very hard to make out. I need to know if I have to replace the pump, or if I can rebuild it. Also, if I over-fill the reservoir, will it cause too much pressure, blowing a seal in the pump?
Thanks

I assume you have a front pump & that it is leaking from the shaft seal. I know Yanmar had front pumps , but I couldn't find it listed in any of my loader books. I can probably get you a seal if you could give me the # off of it. ....
