I aquired a pair of ford 8 lug rims that I need to use however .
1 they have the ford logo stamped on them
2 they have the date 11/20/79
3 they even have the firestone trade mark stamped on them
problem / they have an old set of 8.5/16.5 bias ply on them
IS THERE OR WHERE DO I FIND THE STAMPING TO INDICATE ACTUAL RIM SIZE //THEY MEASURE THE SAME AS THE 16 INCH RIMS I CURENTLY HAVE (8 LUGS/CENTER HOLE/OVERALL RIM DIAMETER) BUT MEASUREING ACTUAL BEAD IS DIFFICULT

OR MAY BE SOME ONE PUT 16.5 TIRES ON A 16 INCH RIM ??????

KEEP ANSWER SHORT ONLY BASIC MEMEBERSHIP

A tire dealer can measure bead-to-bead width with a special tool. ....
