Dennis, it would be great to be able to use regular expressions when doing a text search of message subject lines and message bodies. Any chance of this?

Ummmmm Regular Expressions eh!

I love em, I think I do need to enhance the search features significantly, I do not think I will go as far as regex though.

The first thing I will do is make it so you can use more than one term so that it splits it into the number of parameters supplied.

The other thing that I think would be good would be returning the fragments messages that match the search rather than the parent subject list.

Ken,

You should be able to do some simple regex now like to search for all topics beginning with "Price" and have "bx" in it you would type "^price.*bx".

To get the most out of it for all, the way it works is each search keyword you enter is searched for. If you know regular expressions you can use just one keyword expression.

Everyone will benefit from the new search approach, you don't need to know Regular Expressions to get the benefits of the changes, just rememeber that all keywords must exist to return anything so just put in what is most important. So a query like "Deere Price Friday" will return nothing because its unlikely "Friday" will be in the Topic, but "Deere Price" should return alot of matches.
