I have another page going (BX23 vs. b2410 etc) but I have a few questions regarding the BX23.
When you turn the seat around to operate the backhoe do you have to remove more than 2 pins? Also if you are using your back hoe to dig a trench and have to move your tractor repeatedly ,how do you do that with the seat turned in reverse?
On the BX23 I saw it looked like only one of the two hydraulic lines to the backhoe was a quick couple. Did I not see it correctly and if so or if not how big a job is it to take off the backhoe?
I think I am leaning now toward the BX23 whereas this AM I was not. I can't decide and don't want to buy the wrong machine.
I am hoping for a decision within the next week.

I have a BX22 and there is no pons to remove to turn the seat, just a latch that you lift. This releases the seat then you lift it and turn it to the rear of the machine.
As for moving, yes, you need to move often, at the risk of admiting to breaking all the saftey rules, I simply put the tracto in gear, lift the loader, the stabilizers and the BH bucket and lean over and push the hst peadal. To switch the seat back and forth avery few minutes would definatly be a pain.
Hope that helps

Simon is correct. No pins to turn the seat. I do the same when I need to move the bx I lift the fel and push the hst.
Yes, the backhoe is very easy to remove. I do recommend however making a couple of dollies to move the backhoe around when it is off of the bx, this also makes it easier to line up the backhoe to put it back on. Good luck! ....

I have BX23. No bolts to turn seat -- pull up on release mechanism under front of seat - lift and turn. Push down to snap in rearward position. No way to move tractor when seat facing rear. Both backhoe hyd lines are quick-disconnect -- easy to remove/install. FEL is even easier. I have 54" deck with PTO bagger - nice setup. Bagger is heavy, so put wheels on the stands. Problem: Have not been able to isolate deck lift and 3PT hitch levers since height adjustment knob will not go into "top" position with deck installed. Dealer not showing much interest in fixing problem. ....

Vetcor: I have the 2230 with same deck/bagger setup. I believe you do in fact have a problem because mine WILL allow adjustment to "top" while deck is installed. Hammer on dealer to fix this. How did you add wheels to the bagger? This is my only gripe so far on my tractor, bagger works awesome, but is a PAIN to attach and detach!!
Camera should arrive on Friday, so more updates to website will follow soon! Thanks, Santa. ....

To add wheels to bagger: found casters at Lowes that were the same width as horizontals, drilled four holes for each, and bolted them on. Had to be careful drilling near welds. Top 3pt mount goes on perfect but 2 side mounts for 3pt are a little high with wheels on, so I use small jack to lower & support unit while I remove pins, raise stands, and make final attachment. Your pic looks exactly like my BX23. ....

Vetcor: What is the overall height of the caster from floor to bottom of stand? Did you re-adjust (re-drill) the pin holes for the bottom position of the stands? when I put away my bagger for the winter the only way I could move it was to use a lift strap and my FEL, casters would make moving much easier!! ....

AV8R: I used 2 1/2 in. high casters (flat tops - 4 holes). Just noticed that I only used 2 bolts per caster - plenty strong. I did not add holes to stands but I have thought about doing that to get everything to lineup without using jack. ....
