When we try to mow using a 5 foot finish mower, the tractor engine gets hot. We usually run the tractor in fifth gear with the 4 wheel drive disengaged. The engine has the proper coolant mixture. Any ideas or solutions? Thanks.

I don't know how much hp the tractor has. The usual solutions for a slightly under powered tractor are to make sure the rad isn't clogged and the fan belt is tight and then run it at pto rpm but use a lower gear. ....
