After researching between Kubota and New Holland, I finally bought a New Holland TC29D. I also got the frontloader, mower, box scraper and post hole digger. This tractor is great! There was not a 33D available for months. I was going to wait, but after test driving both of them, I couldn't really tell any difference for what I am goint to be doing with it.-G

I am also looking at the TC29D. A friend let me use his 33 this weekend and it worked great! My only concern is the 4 less hp. Is it still enough? By the way how much did you pay? ....

I ended up paying about 14,500.00 for the tractor. I was concerned about the less hp as well, actually about 3.4 to be exact. I mowed about 3 to 4 feet of grass and the engine never lost any RPM..I was amazed. On the 29D, it hits PTO 540RPM around 2,500 engine RPM. Even when I was digging holes with the 9" post hole digger, it never even flinched at 1,500 RPM. The 29D has plenty HP. I really don't think that the difference between a 29 and 33 is enough to worry about. I already have about 20 hours of no problems at all. After spending some time on the tractor, you will forget about 29 vs 33. ps: 4WD is cool. The dealer took off 750.00 since he couldn't locate a 33. With the difference I got the post hole digger.Anyway, I am very happy with my TC29D. ....

I think you got a decent price. I bargained for a TC29D with the dealer in Taylorville, Il and purchased one for 14,061, added in a Woods 7200 trim mower for 1750. I feel good about the price, we have about 16 hours on the tractor. We love it! It has supersteer, ROPS, the easy/quick connect three point hitch. I can't say enough good about it. I don't know about the dealer service. We'll see when it's due for maintenence. i will probably take it to the dealer until it's off warrenty, then do maint. myself. luck to you. b27 ....
