Gentlemen, i own a 4300 hydro with 200 hrs.Never had any problems...ever...til last week. I went to start the tractor and it would not turn over. Long story short is that the forward and reverse pedals were out of balance, and i guess making the tractor think it was in gear and would not turn over. After about a zillion hours of trying everything else i just pushed down the foward pedal, and then it started. Ever heard of this? I'm looking for a possible fix since it has done it about five times now. pushing down on one of the pedals always takes care of the problem. Please help!!!!

Try looking around the linkage for a switch with two wires minimum that hits the hydro linkage. Find it and adjust it. Some times the reason this starts is that the linkage might need a little lubrication. ....

I agree with Art, but also check the linkage to see if there is any debry or obstruction in it. This could cause a problem as well. Kinda far fetched but maybe a pedal return spring? ....
