I am considering buying a 2210 with a loader and a 72" Woods rear discharge mower. I will mow 5-10 acres of fairly level ground about every 3-4 weeks. Does anyone have any experience with a 2210 pulling that size finishing mower?
Also, in regards to minimizing scalping of uneven areas, is there any advantage to a MMM over a rear mount? I realize that the MMM is only available in 62" but I plan to go 72" if I get a rear mount.
Thanks for any assistance.

That sounds a bit too big for a 23 HP tractor..... how does Deere rate this model?
Could be wrong, but it seems unlikely that you can run a bigger rear mower than a MMM.... unless you are mowing some real sparse pasture. ....

I don't think Deere has a rating for the largest size rear mount mower to use on a 2210.
However, Frontier (made by Woods for Deere) specs the 72" mower I'm looking at for tractor horsepower 20 to 40 hp. It weighs 678 lbs. and has a 40HP gearbox.
The pastures I'll be cutting are pretty thick grass, not sparse. ....

The 2210 has 17 PTO HP, that is where you have to take the ratings from.... not the engine.
A 25+ HP tractor, depending on the transmission configuration, would put out just enough PTO power to land in the 20-40 range.

If you have decent soil with normal grass growth an you plan on only cutting grass every 3 or 4 weeks, I think you need something other then a rear discharge finishing mower....
If you planned on cutting it every week, you might make it work. You may need to add weight in front to pickup that heavy of a mower. ....
