Looking for comparison price of a 4 WD, ag tires, New Holland 1720 with shuttle shift [$12,700], NH front loader [$2600], and Woods 7500 backhoe w/ subframe, [$5200]I am also looking at the Kubota 3010 GST, but I am not impressed with the local dealer who also sells John Deere. I do not feel the new JD's begin to compare in finish and strength, etc. to either the Kubota or the New Holland. An thoughts would be appreciated.

I bought a 2wd 1720, loader, and a 5' bush hog for $14,350. The loader was a Bush Hog brand for $2850 so your price of $2600 looks great to me. Looking back I wish I had purchased a tractor with 4wd. I have some soft areas on my land and the wrecker has been out here more than once. But I am learning where I can go and where I cannot. ....

About this time last year my brother and I got out of a full time beef operationand cashed in.We traded our modern haying equipment in for a pair of NH 1720compacts 4x4s,with 7308 loaders, remote rear valves, block heater, loaded over sizeAg tires and rear lamp for $21500.00 Cdn.each. We had an active farm for about 10 years, as well as full time jobs off thefarm. So our time was well accounted for.I have followed this web site for some time now and placed a comment or two.I seem to notice a real trend towards the boomer series. Is this because the 20series is not available south of the border?(please fill me in).We looked at the boomers and could not bring ourselves to the idea of trading good quality (and recent) New Holland cutting ,round-square bailers and rakefor a plastic boomer.Im not picking on the boomer ,just the plastic. Other manufactures use plastic as an intagrile part of there product as well.Through expierence I have replacedplastic parts intead of repairing them.I read here a week ago plastic is great, and NASA has made great advances in there developement, how about fixing them?It sounds like your on the right track with your purchase, go for the 1720 and loader you won't regret it.Unless you are making money with your soon to be backhoe , its probably cheaperand easier to hire out the work .Good luck and happy tractoring! ....
