New Holland 1925 loss of power

I have a NH 1925 with 770 hours. Last Fall I took it into the dealer to do the 500 hour recommended maintanence. I know I was 200 hours late. They checked the injectors and adjusted the valve clearance. I got it back and noticed it would bog down when under load when pulling a 6' finish mower up slight inclines. They checked it out and said that the Woods mowing deck had a bad gear and bearings which caused the low power condition. $285 later the low power condition still exists. I'm taking it back in Saturday to show them the problem and have it dyno tested. They can't understand what the problem could be.
Any thoughts from the experts out here in cyber land?
Thanks for all your help.

As I understand, the tractor worked OK before the dealer maintenance but had low power after the maintenance, and repairing the mower didn't change things. That sure sounds like something that happened in the shop rather than the field.
I'd probably assume that it is pretty much the dealer's problem and they will sort it out. In the meantime, I'd go through a standard sort of check list of things like making sure the parking brakes are released and that a hydraulic pressure relief valve isn't opening. I'm assuming that the power comparisons were made using the same gear or range.
I might also try testing the power without the mower or PTO. Maybe there's another task that challenged the tractor but doesn’t use the PTO. I’d try such a job to see if the tractor will still do it. Or maybe you know the highest gear where the tractor will spin its tires against a large load.
There are quite a few things that can produce loss of power that could happen during standard maintenance. It would be good to hear what the dealer's take on the problem is before rattling on here I guess.

It would be nice to know what was included on the 500 hr service check and what they actually did.
For my tractor the only things listed that could logically effect the power, if done incorrectly would be the gapping of the valves or the repacking of the front bearings. Incorrect gapping can be serious.
The only other things would be the changing of the fluids. If all the fluid levels are OK. Ie there is oil in the front axel, transmission etc.
I would also check that they did not over adjust the brakes and leave them hanging on.
Last fall we got a Detroit Diesel in a 98 GMC that mister good had decided to adjust the injector timing on. It burned a could of pistons etc. I hope that they did start messing with the timing etc. ....

They installed a new air filter and inner element, a new power steering fluid filter and new oil and fuel filters.
They didn't change fluids, just topped them off. The manual says to change fluids but they said they never change the fluid if it looks clean and doesn't smell burnt.
I put the tractor aginst a tree in the weeds and I couldn't spin the tires in the 2nd range. They would spin in 1st range (low range) in 2wd but not 4wd. I hope they can fix it fast, I need my tractor bad this time of year. ....

I guess I did not read the post completely. Incorrect gap of the valves too tight can cause them to open prematurely and can burn or bend depending on the clearances. Removal of the injectors can cause loss of compression if they are not reseated properly. You should be able to test this with a little soapy water over the area while running. ....

One time when playing with some tractor pullers on the Dyno we lost over 200 horsepower after changing the fuel filters. Could be your problem, but might not be. It would be the first thing I would change again. ....

Sounds like the dealer is after the problem. So, I'll save space by not writing much. I am curious though if the exhaust was smoking much. Most things that go wrong with a diesel produce excessive exhaust smoke. Governor problems and fuel restrictions can be exceptions.
I guess I could have added a couple things to a checklist, other than does it smoke. One is checking whether the max no load rpm is within spec. Another is checking if the throttle arm on the injector pump has full range motion. There probably are other things I’ll think of after I post this.

Just a small plume of black smoke upon starting. It always did this. Otherwise no smoke. ....
