I have an old sub sub mega pixel digital camera about 6 years old and several SLR cameras my best a Nikon N70. I was thinking of selling the N70 but I can see that I waited too long, its worth less than 25% of what I paid for it now, so I might as well keep it. What an impact digital photography has made!!

What digital cameras are you using?? I am considering the Canon Powershot S40/30. And I have heard good things on the Nikon Coolpix.

I still have my Nikon ZoomTouch 500 35mm, and like you, I'd be glad to sell it for 25% of what I paid for it 13 years ago.LOL Works great (or did the last time I used it), but now I only use the digital camera.

My digital camera is an Olympus D-460ZOOM, 1.3 megapixel, 3X optical zoom, 2X digital zoom, and I'm very happy with it, but do believe the Nikon Coolpix would be an even better camera; just didn't want to spend the extra money. ....

I have a Sony Mavica with CD drive that I really like. Takes great pictures. Only drawback is that it is bulky compared to most digitals. It has 10x optical zoom and 20x digital zoom. That's the main reason I bought it since you can't attach a zoom lens to a digital that I know of. The CD is nice too. You can take near 200 pictures (depending on resolution you choose) on a CD. Pictures can be left on the CD, copied to your hard drive, or both.
I happened into Best Buy at the right time. They had one that their manager had used for a demo for his employees. Used part of one CD. They put it back on the shelf as "open box" and marked the price down $250. ....

I burnt some VISA points and got a Fuji 2.1 mp. It does most things but lacks an optical zoom and takes fairly small recording media. I retired my 35mm's some years back--not enough instant gratification I guess. Processing got expensive, and then exactly what can be done with slides except torture visiting family?

I figured the camera is free since everybody is stuck with the points system, and I just wanted to see what it would do. The results are just fine, and I can see my way clear to buying a real one with a real lens. At 2.1 mp, the high resolution isn't quite good enough for sharp 8x10 prints on my Epson 880. Screen images and smaller prints are great. However, I guess I should question how often I really need an 8x10 and maybe stick around 2.1 mp. I've heard that some high-resolution cameras are very hard on batteries. Metal hydride rechargeables work just fine in the Fuji. I can easily fill a disc on one set of batteries.
