I Have A Ford 1910 With A Cracked Diesel Cylinder Head, Does Anybody Know Where I Can Get A Used Or New Head For Less Than $1500.00 Except From the Dealer? Any Tractor Junkyards Out There? Thanks For Any Help, Larry

Dang! Sounds like a problem. A couple of times I've done web searches and located salvage yards. Most yards tend to have mostly farm tractor parts, and I don't have a good suggestion except to nose around on the web.

I took a scan through my parts manual just to verify that the head doesn't cross to another model in the '10 series. It doesn't.

I have heard of cheapy repairs such as using JB weld and similar products. I've also heard of cracks 'stitched' together using a series of tapped holes and brass screws across the crack. As I say, I've heard of this rather than seen it. Reports of how well the cheapy repairs work are variable.

Were are you located at. Next ? were is the crack at on the head. There is a place in GrandRapids michigan that will Weld your head and they gurentee thier work depending on were the crack is. I think its like a year gurentee or 2 years something like that. But if your interested reply and i will get you more info. ....
