Sam's message did say his tractor had MFWD.
I have a dealer flyer on pricing from June 99 (western WIS).
4600 4WD/Hydro w/Turf tires, w/o Dual valves:
List $23650, Sale $20999.
Loader is $3500-3700 depending on the deal.
Valve is maybe another $300.
Turf tires are approx same $ as R4's (what Sam got).
Like i said, OK is really "ok" if you can get the deal Sam says he did.

The big difference may be the Hydro. Sam did not say whether his had a hydro trans. I just bought a new 2001 4600 MFWD Hydro, with R4 tires (turf tires are more), 3rd,4th, & 5th SCVs, 460 loader with 3rd function, heavy duty bucket 73" for $26,200. The installation for the extra valves was $750. Your price sounds ok but you may be able to get them down a little with the 10 series coming out. I saw a 4410 at my dealer two days ago.
