MY 276D ONLY STEERS SOME OF THE TIME AND MOST OF THE TIME IT IS STUCK.IFI WORK IT BACK AND FORTH IT FREES UP FOR A WILE. IT HAS POWER STEERING AND MY LOCAL DEALER SAY THERE ARE NO PARTS AVAILABLE AND WANTS TO CHANGE TO MANUAL STEERING PLEASE HELP. GEORGE AALG4@AOL.COM

What brand powersteering do you have? Is the problem in the steering bor or with the powersteering ? I may be able to supply you with some replacment parts. sheaftractor@coiinc.com ....

It would be good to determine if the problem is in the steering sector, the power steering or the linkage/front end before deciding about parts. It's good to have a potential source of parts who participates here.
My Ford 1710 uses a tube shock as a steering damper. The damper can cause what is described if it became dented and is something else to check if one is present.
