I have a MF35 on this tractor their is a pipe that comes out of the valve cover and goes down the side of the engine and stops above the frame. Just recently blue smoke started to come out of this pipe when I have a load (disking or using my blade) on the tractor. Why is the blue smoke coming out of this pipe? What is this pipe for? What weight oil should I be using in this tractor?
Thank you.

The tube is a crankcase vent tube, the blue smoke is blow by, and the tractor should be running on any good qaulity 15W-40W diesel grade oil. The sudden start of this smoke probably means that a ring stuck, try running some additives in it for a while then changing the oil. Best of luck. ....
