The last time I used my tractor and parked it there was nothing wrong. Several days later I started it up and when I went to put it in gear the clutch would not dis-engage. There was no noise or symtem that there was anything wrong the last time I used it and the clutch was working fine. What can I do to fix the problem and what could have happened?Thabnks a millionDarrell Adams

From the description, I guess the clutch still 'feels' normal, it just doesn't disengage. If there is little resistance in the pedal travel, then the linkage may have come apart. If the tractor has access to the bell housing, you might be able to see the linkage and operation of the throw-out bearing on the clutch-plate. If the linkage and throw-out bearing are OK, there may be excessive free-play at the top of pedal. Then, the clutch may not completely disengage when the pedal is depressed. However, if it's a two-stage clutch for a live PTO, then excessive free-play usually results in a PTO that won't engage or stop and doesn't affect the TX clutch. There should be a simple adjustment for clutch free-play. ....
