Can someone help point me in the right direction. I am trying to find a "collar seal" and rubber oil seals for my 3110d. My copy of the parts manual does not show them and my parts supplier can't either.

Well, tractor parts can be a problem for anymake. I'm still unable to get a governor control rod for my JD530....so not surprised you are having trouble with seals. Have you had any luck the Yanmar dealer (Len) who posts on this forum? What about the two Yanmar clubs on Yahoo? There are lots of Yanmar dealers on those sites. To the best of my knowledge, the YM3110D was the greymarket version of the popular US and worldwide model YM336D. That one had several upgrades to the front end seals during its model life, and when I checked last year they were all available.....you may have to try one of those other dealers. ....

Thank you Roger. I am trying some other dealers. Sometimes this parts chase can be a hassle when you are wanting to get your machine rolling. ....

Roger: I missed your comment about the 530 governor rod. Don't know if you've found one yet, but you might try posting on www.ytmag.com. Actually, I'd be surprised if you aren't aware of the site. Anyway, the Ford Discussion Board has participation from a few people who seem to really know older Fords. Parts sources are sometimes identified. I don't know how active the JD board is. ....

They have one of the largest yards for old tractors, a network of farms stores, aand a used, new and remanufactured parts catalog. Most others were using their
catalog as a price guide. I have used them for had to locate parts in the past for my vintage Oliver and MF. I normally keep a catalog on hand as a security blanket.

I gotta confess that I didn't pursue other sources after trying to order it from JD. When they said that they no longer carried the part, it sounded like too good of an excuse to ignore. So I went into my machine shop and after half an hour of play at the lathe and welder I had myself a new governor bellcrank and rod. Truth be told, mine puts JD's to shame. But then I didn't have to worry about cost.
Still, I like to hear about sources and need to add Central to my list of catalogues. Come to think of it, we used to get their catalogue back 10 or 15 years ago. Just went looking and after rummaging around in the tractor literature I come up with the following tractor parts catalogues: Stevens Equipment, C&T Farm Family, Abilene Machine, Big R (used to be Ranch wholesale), and Stockyard's. Darn...I KNOW that there was a Central Tractor catalogue in there. I'll have to order one. Thanks for the tip. ....
