I was looking at a 4 yr old cub 7205,4x4,300hrs with loader, a dealer has it and the front wheel drive is broke so they took the drive shaft off and the hood needs replaced they want 6500.00 for it the way it sits but I think I could get them down some more and was wondering what might be wrong in the front end and if it is worth the money , also what it would be worth fixed up.although it only has 300hrs you can tell the previous owner did not take good care of it.thanks,

Jim, I see no one has responded so far, so I'll give strictly a personal opinion and see if anyone disagrees. I'd say run, don't walk, to the nearest exit. I wouldn't even consider it. ....

Jim, Think for a moment...With all the dealer resources, if it could be economically repaired, don't you think he would do it? It certainly would be worth more working... there must be a very good reason why it's still in that state, especially on a "tractor dealer's lot". I agree with Bird...forget it. ....

I would agree with both of you normally, except that my best friend is the service manager and he has been looking for a tractor for me , but he does't set the prices, that is why I'm even considering it at all. the problem with the front end does conern me though, it was in for it before they said the guy who had it was over loading it and he traded it in for a bigger tractor and if fixed right , used right, will it stay right, or if's just a lemon.
thanks for your advice, its probably the smart thing to do!
