I going to buy a new tractor next week and I cant deside what size. I plow and brush mow and mow grass and move dirt on my hobby farm. I use a 9-N and it just dont have the power or the traction I need. I have some low land and I would hate to get the TC 35 stuck when I get my 9-N stuck I can pull it out with my ATV WHAT DOES ANYONE THINK THANK Phil

Phil, I faced the same decision a few months back. I decided on the TC35D because of the loader capacity. I did not get the tractor for mowing. Unless you are mowing a very large area the TC35 would be too big. I purchased my tractor with the idea of doing some work for money when I retire soon. If I was just going to use the tractor on a hobby farm the TC33 would probably have been just fine. Another reason I chose the TC35D is the totally independent pto, turn brake location and hydro pedal setup. I guess it comes down to what you want, expect and plan to use the tractor for. Good luck with your purchase whatever it may be.

Phil, last June I purchased a TC29, same size frame as the TC33, debating whether or not I should have purchased a TC35. Well, two months ago I traded the 29 for the TC35. For my purposes the larger frame, with a bit more power, handles my implements a lot better. Mowing is not a problem for me due to having a lot of open property with few obstacles. Both tractors have performed flawlessly. Good Luck. ....

I'd have to agree with J Dubbs. If you are mowing large open areas without many obstacles I think the 35D would be a better purchase, the cost just isn't that much more for alot more tractor. But then again if you are spending alot of time undeer and around trees mowing the smaller frame would probably benefit you. I currently own a Cub Cadet about the size of a TC33/29/25 and wish I had the bigger tractor. I use my tractor mainly for mowing and plowing, but on some of my hiillsides the smaller tractor just doesn't have the weight to keep the mower from pulling the tractor down hill. (Although I am concered about the high CG of the TC35d) Anyway take it for what its worth.

I'm sure a TC33 would handle all of the mowing chores. What size plow did you pull with the 8N? I pull a 2 bottom (12") plow with a TC29D and it does pretty well, even in sod. If I hit hard ground, I'll spin 3 wheels (both rears with diff lock on and 1 front), but I have industrial tires, so ag tires would probably do much better for plowing, plus I only have about 100lbs of weight on the front. The other thing to consider is whether or not you need draft control on the 3pt hitch. My TC29D does not have draft control, only position control, and I think the TC33 is the same. I don't know about the TC35. If you're going to be doing a lot of plowing, it might be a consideration. ....
