Has anyone monitored your fuel usage? Particularly on the TC35/40/45? I am curious how long a tank of fuel should last. I think it is a 12 gal. tank. I realize it depends on engine speed but just looking for an average. Does 1 gallon per hour sound about right? Is there a published specification on this somewhere?

I have no experience with your specific tractor, but assuming (eek!) that most diesels are about the same, 1 gallon an hour is a common number for hard work (plowing, tilling, mowing); that is about what our MF135 (about 35 hp 4-cyl diesel)uses. It also looks like my TC29 will use about the same when running at PTO rpm.

I agree with the other guys; a gallon an hour for a tractor that size is a good guesstimate. I've done some checking with my B2710 and it will vary from 2/3 to a little less than 3/4 gallon per hour; average about 7/10. ....

Mostly loader work skacking snow banks not pto but close and working the engine. Use a Caterpillar at work, now and then, and burn 15+ gals per hour. ....

I've been tracking fuel usage for the last 100 hrs. on my JD855. I've averaged 1.5 hrs/gal! This is combined usage - plowing, mowing, loader, backhoe, etc. ....

My NH TC35D = A little more than 1 gal/hr. FEL work moving heaps of snow @ about a steday 1800 rpm. Moderately cool weather (10 to 30 degrees) mostly . Straight diesel from local gas station. A bit higher fuel usage than I would have hoped for!

Have a TC40D and fuel usage runs about 1.2 to 1.5 gph running at 2200 to 2600 RPMs (heavy use where engine "lugs").
