Well guys, if you read my posts from the other string I started regarding 3pt hitch attachments then you know that I previously stated that the Bush Hog 72" finishing mower was too big. Let me take that statement back. The BX lifts it fine. As a matter of fact I was just at the dealer lot where I bought mine, and they had a Woods 60" finisher on a BX2200. That Woods weighs in at 700+ lbs. I was astonished. the dealer is giving me different upper and lower links from a larger Kubota tractor (Not sure which one, but I don't think it matters). The important thing to keep in mind here is that the BX is lighter in the front that other compacts. Therefore it may be neccessary to Add some sort of ballast to the front. Either front tractor weights or a loader will do fine.

Steve the load you can safely put on the three point hitch is two points, one what the three point hitch lifts and two how much the tractor can safly handle on the type of terrain they say it will. We often try different machines than what the manufacter recommmends, some work fine and some don't. It's not uncommon to find that something has a reserve or can do more than specified. Only a few manufacters push in there advertising to the point they are on the maximum limits of a piece of machinery. ....
