I've modified all of my battery boxes to fit a standard automotive 12 volt battery. Any automotive type has plenty of cranking amps. My favorite is the Optima Red Top, which I run in everything. The one in my JD is 10 years old this year and still going strong. The Optima is slightly smaller than other batteries and this helps when space is tight. Maybe one will fit right in the existing space. ....
