i have a 1985 B6100; does anyone have a cluewhat it would cost to put a FEL on this model? the tractor has 2400 hours on it, with turf tires, 4wd. Also, those of you that have a small tractor with loaders, how do they steer without ps? adding a FEL may not be a good idea, looking for opinions.thanks

Rick, I used a 1995 B7100 for 4 years with a front end loader and no power steering. In 1995, the dealer figured $2,400 for the loader (B1630C) and last year I traded up to a B2710 with an LA401 loader that the dealer figured at $2,900 if that helps with an estimate of cost. And one of the reasons I traded up was to get power steering (after having carpal tunnel syndrome surgery on both hands). So I definitely like power steering better, but I sure got a lot of work done without it. It did take more muscle to turn the tractor when there was a heavy load in the bucket, but nothing too serious for most folks. ....

thanks; i'm not sure i want to put that much into a 1985 model tractor with 2400 hours; thats probably about all the tractor is worth; one of the folks i work with just bought a kubota with a FEL; 24hp; for $3500; sure seems like a bargain. i paid $3500 for this B6100/4wd/with a rotor-tiller/flail mower/and belly mower, and thought i got a good deal..but puttin another 2500-3000 into it is probably not to wise..
rick ....

I don't blame you, Rick. I wouldn't do it unless I could find a super deal on a used one. ....
